All you need to know about entering the St Columba’s Art Prize
- Entry is $30 per submission for the Open category, with the winning prize to receive $10,000. There is a maximum of two (2) entries per artist. The entry fee is non-refundable and contributes to administration and handling.
- Youth category is $10 per submission, with the winning prize to receive $1,000. There is also a maximum of two (2) entries per artist.

We do not accept photographic or digital works of any kind, including Video works;
AI Generated works, in whole or in part.

- 2D Artworks must not exceed 150cm in any direction and a maximum weight of 15kg.
- 3D Sculptural works are limited to 85CM width/height/depth and a weight of 40kg.
The St Columba’s Art Prize Project Team/Judges will select a number of finalists to be determined via online entries. The selected finalist artworks will be curated and exhibited in Brauer Hall. The judges will visit the gallery to make their decision after viewing all finalists.

Works must not have been exhibited in a previous art competition, award or prize within NSW.

- The Open category is open to all residents of Australia over the age of 18.
Youth category is only open to artists aged 12-19 years, who are currently or who have been enrolled in an Australian school in the last 12 months (student ID is required on entry).
A gallery commission of 25% applies to all sales (excluding student artwork). This includes GST.
- If you are a finalist you will be expected to frame works on paper to museum standard with D-Rings. Deep edge canvases and board are accepted unframed and will need to be fitted with a suitable hanging system such as
D-Rings attached for display. - If unsure please check with the St Columba’s Art Prize Project Team.
- You will arrange for your work to be delivered either in person on 28 or 29 April between 8am and 4pm.

- To be eligible for the St Columba’s Art Prize – open category: artists must be over the age of 18, and a current permanent resident of Australia. All levels of experience are welcome to enter.
- To be eligible for the St Columba’s Art Prize – youth category: artists must be a current resident of Australia, aged from 12- to 19-years-old, who are currently or who have been enrolled in an Australian school, in the last 12 months at the time of entry. Student ID is required on entry.
